Faction Rules Updates - 02/03/2025
  • The Faction Rules have received a MAJOR update that requires full attention:
Robberies & Faction Attacks
  • Robberies are now classified as criteria of faction attacks.
  • Starting a robbery in an enemy turf while being on an attack cooldown is also now prohibited.
Participation Limits in Faction Attacks
  • Participation limits have been removed from faction attacks, and drive-by rules.
  • The new limit is that only 1 allied faction can participate in either, no more 6 member cap for general, or 4 member cap for drive-bying.
Brawl Cooldowns
  • Faction Brawls cooldown reduced from previously 1 hour to now currently = 30 minutes.

Read the full rules here.

📖 Providing Clarity to Rules
# Topic: Determining the Attacker When a Brawl and Shooting Happen on Home Turf.

Clearing up some confusion about who counts as the attacker:
An attacker is defined as the one who initiates combat by being the first to use weapons in a scene.

Here’s the situation that sparked this question:
  • Let’s say TDB marches into TDF’s territory, clearly looking to start a brawl.
  • TDF doesn't want to participate, so they respond by shooting at them (even though they’re defending their own turf) they’ll still technically be considered the attackers in that particular scene.
  • This is also one of the rare times where, if TDF is already on an attack cooldown, what we’d call “double-attacking” is allowed. It’s an exception, not the the norm.
For example:
TDF might be on an attack cooldown, but if TDB shows up in their territory trying to force a brawl that TDF doesn’t want, and TDF responds by firing, that’s only allowed under these specific circumstances.

Generally brawls are a big part of the server’s vibe, so shooting during one is discouraged, and hand-to-hand combat is preferred. If you don’t want to brawl, try using warning shots or non-lethal methods to deter it. But if things escalate, these are helpful guidelines to follow.

If you're unsure about another rule and would like for us to provide more clarity next, ask here.

Faction Rules Updates - 20/04/2025
These updates are guided by FMT input and real player feedback.

Changes to 2.1 Faction Brawls:
Brawling Restrictions During Attack Cooldown:
If a faction attacks someone, they can’t start a brawl with the same group again during the 1-hour attack cooldown unless some new tension or provocation pops up through RP.
Example of violation: TDF attacks TDB at 13:00 PM. Then, just 30 minutes later, at 13:30 PM, TDF goes into TDB’s territory looking for a brawl. In this case, TDF broke the attack rules.
